Summary:

Lead positions are expected to adhere to all company policies and to LEAD by example; that means that all actions must be professional, safety must be a top priority, strong attendance is required, and they must ensure that everyone is treated fairly.

Pay:

• $20.89/hr

Scheduled:

• Weekends and Holidays always required for mandatory overtime and business needs
• Wednesday to Saturday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM or until finish (typically 10-12 hours per shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain warehouse aisles up to 5S standards.
• Monitor and address departmental metrics such as productivity and quality as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Guides warehouse employees in operational tasks.
• Conduct weekly one-to-one meetings with all pickers.
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor.
• Reads customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Regularly provide input to the supervisor regarding the performance of direct reports.
• Pick orders accurately and ensure that all orders run through a pick/scan verification process.
• Ensure that all items picked physically are also picked electronically.
• Under guidance of Warehouse Supervisor trains new employees.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings to understand volume needs at the beginning of each shift.

• Task associates accordingly throughout the day to ensure optimal operations and minimal overtime.

• Must communicate any and all facility or associate issues immediately to your supervisor.
• Must complete a beginning and end of shift walk around to identify any areas that need to be addressed, including but not limited to:
• Must check out all pick lines and confirm the following before dismissing associates:
• Line cleanliness

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Penske Logistics Forklift Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The associate must be able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms).

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. • The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate.
