The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,600.00 in our lowest geographic market to $251,800.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Who You Are


Proven in your area of expertise, youll be encouraged to champion design thinking, elevate the process of craft and be seen as a source of inspiration and knowledge beyond the design team at NVS.


You will work alongside brand designers, product designers, and other multi-disciplinary teams. You will report to an Art Director, and be expected to lead creative work streams and be part of crafting the brand approach through visuals and motion. Youll be as curious and interested in the process of visual and motion design as you are the craft and aesthetic, exploring new ways of creating and injecting current and future trends into everything you do.


You will thrive in the culture of the team, and be committed to serving the NVS goals. Pragmatic and calm under pressure, you understand how you present your work is as important as the work itself.


Key Accountabilities


Digital Brand Design


  • Use advanced visual & motion design skills to create original, innovative designs that appropriately reflect .SWOOSH's design philosophy and standards
  • Ensure alignment with existing design language and interaction patterns
  • Understand and apply new technologies that bring innovation to your designs and development process
  • Contribute to strategic thinking and understand how to create designs that can be measured against their objectives
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Work at pace in agile sprint cycles while collaborating with other team members
  • Know your way around complex design systems and how to use them
  • Create a range of design outputs from conceptual layouts / templates & components / design system assets / animations / motion guidelines / video editing / interactive designs / brand guidelines / social media assets / presentations


COMMUNICATION/COLLABORATION


  • Communicate brand design strategy to various internal and external audiences with support of Art Director
  • Effectively handle stakeholder requirements and priorities and collaborate with them as partners
  • Produce presentation materials in conjunction with the Design and Category Teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences
  • Work seamlessly with a cross-functional team to create a best-in-class brand experience
  • Effectively manage your time to achieve project milestones and deliverables
  • Present your work to the design team and other colleagues, explaining your design process and rationale
  • Have a keen interest in how people interact with brands and products, specifically in the sneaker, Metaverse, Web3, and Blockchain space


PROCESS/TIMELINE


  • Ensure deliverables and deadlines are met
  • Work with the defined project management tools including Slack and Asana
  • Work with design leadership and category team members in Design, Marketing and Visual Curation/Creation and Product to ensure feasibility of designs, strategy needs and product creation timelines


SKILL DEVELOPMENT


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment!
  • Participate in activities that will increase understanding and working knowledge of the product development process and commercialization process
  • Build a deep understanding and groundbreaking knowledge of market trends and new technologies that may be used to enhance the digital design process


Qualities & Experience.


  • Bonus: Ability to work in a 3-D environment
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible digital design & motion experience demonstrating solid design skills (e.g. ideation, branding, typography, illustration, animation/motion, and digital presentation)
  • Experience working for a brand in-house or agency-side
  • Excellent skills with design applications (Figma, the Adobe Creative Suite - specifically After Effects)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


This role is open to work in Los Angeles, CA, Beaverton, OR, or New York City, NY.
