Network Centre of Excellence
As part of the Solution Development team, The Network Centre of Excellence is to accelerate adoption and innovation of Network solutions across all Logicalis operating regions, with the following clear goals:
- Managing Network knowledge and learning
- Aligning Network offerings to the larger organizational strategy
- Driving momentum across the organization
- Developing reusable frameworks and solutions for Network
- Overseeing Network solution usage and plans for scale
About the Role
As the Lead Architect in the Global Network Centre of Excellence (COE), you will play a critical role by leading a technical team dedicated to scaling our Network solution adoption across all regions by creating and maturing Logicalis IP solutions. To be successful in this role, you will be a true technologist and a trusted technical leader for product enhancements, product development and solution adoption & transformation.
Your core objective is to continually be on the technology forefront and bring about recommendations to improve our products and processes to increase adoption of Network solutions in response to customer demand. You will also be involved in the development of new products based on technology and market trends and be responsible for the end-to-end solution design and architecture.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical leadership to the development team
- Accountable for the development team being involved in the planning and execution of prioritized backlog items as defined by the Product Owner
- Own the end-to-end solution design of the solutions collaborating with various stakeholders aligning to the companies key design principles.
- Be on the technology forefront to continuously improve our existing IP solutions or create new IP solutions based on the market needs
- Mentor engineers to share your knowledge and experience
- Enable regions to own the technical execution of the solutions
- Provide detailed user stories, technical information to development team to deliver solutions.
- Own the content to enable Professional Services and Managed Services teams to consume and deliver the solutions
You will:
- Be able to pro-actively recognize possible problems before they arise in order identify and develop potential solutions
- CCDE – preferred, but not mandatory
- Containerization and serverless applications (Docker, Kubernetes) – preferred, but not mandatory
- Infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, ARM)
- CISCO Certified DevNet Expert
- Adapt quickly to uncertainty, new frameworks & technologies and dynamic business priorities by effectively managing yourself through the ambiguity and change
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
- Certifications:
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
- CCIE Wireless
- CISCO Certified DevNet Expert
- CCNA/ CCNP Data Center – preferred, but not mandatory
- CCNP Security – preferred, but not mandatory
- CCDE – preferred, but not mandatory
- Have at least 10 years of experience working with Network, preferably focused around product development, delivery and managed services.
- CCIE Wireless
- Deep understanding of SDWAN (Meraki/Viptela/Fortinet) /SD-ACCESS /ACI
- CCNP Security – preferred, but not mandatory
- Enjoys putting your own innovation and flair to successfully get sprints across the line
- Desire to exceed expectations by taking full ownership of assigned deliverables and drive them to completion
- Constructively challenge the status quo, look for better ways to do things and passionately advocate continuous improvement
- Self-starter who enjoys working with minimal direction
- Experience based on industry best practices in the following:
- Infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, ARM)
- Containerization and serverless applications (Docker, Kubernetes) – preferred, but not mandatory
- Scripting and programming languages (PowerShell, Bash)
- Continuous Integration/Deployment tools (Azure DevOps)
- CCNA/ CCNP Data Center – preferred, but not mandatory
- Thrives on challenges, able to work well under pressure and have a can-do attitude
- Continuous Integration/Deployment tools (Azure DevOps)
- Scripting and programming languages (PowerShell, Bash)
- Comfortable working in an agile environment and play your part in knowledge sharing to drive operational excellence
How Will Success Be Measured
In your first 30 days at Logicalis you will:

In your first 60 days you will:
- Established prioritized backlog items for the next 2 sprints
- Reviewed and updated the end-to-end solution design of a product
By the end of your first 90 days, you will:
- Demonstrated consistency and cadence to enhance a product
- Achieved minimum 1 item on the career development plan
- Increase delivery efficiencies through automation and optimisation of repeatable tasks
- Delivery of committed items in each sprint in a timely manner
- Complete collaterals of a product based on the solution framework
