Job Description

Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. Light & Wonder’s gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.
Position Summary
Bring our games to life by creating eye-catching art for slot machines. Lead the art team through the development process—set priorities, solve problems, remove obstacles, and facilitate communication. The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial.
  • Maintain excellent art quality in regard to design, layout, color theory, and typography
  • Mentor junior game artists in related studios and throughout Game Development
  • Communicate and collaborate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process.
  • Create artwork for all aspects of our slot machines, including game logos, symbols, backgrounds and other theme art
  • Manage a team of individual contributors, keeping them motivated, informed, and engaged
  • Archive all final working files for future use using version control software
  • Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work
  • Contribute to overall Game Development department culture
Qualifications
Experience
  • Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Unity a plus
  • Have a strong sense of logo and interface design
  • 2+ years of professional experience leading teams, managing artists, and/or providing project art direction
  • Ability to work with a variety of different illustration styles
  • 5+ years of professional experience in illustration (traditional or digital) and/or graphic design
  • Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
  • Have a strong sense of graphic illustration and overall graphics creation
  • Enjoy working in a creative environment
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
