Job Description
Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) is a market leader in online casino and sports betting, currently operating real-money gaming with our brands: BetRivers.com, PlaySugarHouse.com, and RushBet.co. We're building bridges between online, social and land-based gaming businesses to create amazing, integrated experiences that keep players in the game.


As a Game Designer reporting directly to our VP of iGaming, you will have the exciting opportunity to focus on third-party real money games. Responsible for overseeing the design, math, and development process, collaborating with external game studios and providers you will deliver captivating and profitable gaming experiences. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, artists, and product managers, you will ensure that all games meet regulatory requirements, target audience preferences, and industry trends.


What you will do:


  • Ensure all games comply with relevant regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements.
  • Analyze player feedback, game metrics, and data to make informed design decisions and optimize game performance.
  • Provide clear and effective communication to stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with external game studios and providers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in the iGaming industry.
  • Manage the end-to-end game design and development process for third-party real money games.
  • Collaborate with the art and sound teams to ensure the visual and audio assets align with the game's vision and enhance the player experience.
  • Define and document game concepts, mechanics, rules, math, and features to align with business objectives and player expectations.
  • Work closely with the product management team to develop and refine game roadmaps, feature sets, and release plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies to continuously improve game quality and innovation.


All About You:


  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and liaise with external partners.
  • Creative and innovative thinking, with a passion for delivering engaging and profitable gaming experiences.
  • Familiarity with game development pipelines and tools, such as Cocos2d or Unity.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and player feedback to inform design decisions.
  • 3 + proven experience in game design and math, preferably in the iGaming industry, with a focus on real money games.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the iGaming industry.
  • Strong knowledge of game mechanics, player psychology, and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
