- Collaborate with digital strategists and channel SMEs to understand client objectives and opportunities for content development, and manage end-to-end execution of strategic content plans and deliverables
- Write, edit and optimize content across a range of channels including organic search, email, paid media, social media, and on-site/off-site landing pages
- Create, contribute to and present content deliverables
- Act as a go-to resource for content requests, questions, or support for team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Interview client stakeholders and SMEs to inform content development
- Measure and report on content performance and opportunities across channels
- Implement and QA content
- Stay current on trends and best practices in digital and omnichannel content – and a passion for sharing these insights with your peers, colleagues and clients
- Assess, organize and prioritize potential content ideas and deliverables through qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as audience, competitive, and market research; channel audits; and keyword and topical research
- Maintain, enable and evolve content governance and development standards for a book of clients
- Strong interviewing, presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic and creative wordsmith, who wants to know the shape of the forest even when you’re in the trees – you crave insight on audiences, competitors, and channel or project objectives to inform the content you produce
- Expert at researching specific topics and translating that research into unique content ideas and deliverables that meet a client’s business objectives, user needs and channel best practices
- Experience analyzing digital content performance to identify new content and optimization opportunities
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms as it pertains to content implementation (Sitecore, Drupal and headless CMS experience is a plus)
- Ability to prioritize multiple content projects and opportunities and delegate as needed
- Degree in English or Journalism, preferred
- Experience owning the full content production lifecycle from start to finish, meeting project objectives and deadlines while mitigating risks
- Strong understanding of AP-Style guidelines and proofreading content across various platforms
- Working knowledge of digital marketing channels (organic, paid, social, email, on-site/off-site) and how content works across them to engage audiences and inspire action
- Experience collaborating with digital strategy, design, development, account and project management teams, clients and vendors/freelancers to meet content objectives
- Proficiency in content ideation, development and management tools, such as GA/GSC, SEMrush, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
- Working knowledge of Schema, meta data, and basic HTML, preferred
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor colleagues and navigate conversations
- Extensive experience as a copywriter, content manager, journalist, or similar content role
