Position Overview

Perform production work on the laser loading and unloading parts and basic inspection to insure the quality of the parts. Will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to Laser Operator #2 classification.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety.
  • Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
  • Responsible for the quality of the parts produced.
  • Responsible for laser scale/burr removal on low quantity parts.

Skills and Experience

  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing and bending, as well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently.
