Landscaping Turf Technician Jobs

The Resort at Paws Up is seeking a Landscaping Turf Technician to add to our team. The Landscaping Turf Technician role maintains The Resort at Paws Up lawns in accordance to property and department standards.

This position starts at $18 an hour and goes up from there depending on experience.

The Primary Functions Are

• Use safely and respect company tools, vehicles, equipment and report damage or problems to department supervisor.
• Perform hand digging, lifting, and physical work where needed.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and attention to detail.
• Follow fertilizing and core aerating schedules.
• Repair damaged areas of lawn incurred by wildlife or Resort activity.
• Identify and control diseased turf to maintain a high level of health and visual appeal with the lawns.
• Work in conjunction with Irrigation Technician to take measurements and identify areas suffering from over or under-watering and correct appropriately.
• Remove unwanted plants by manual, mechanical, or chemical means inside and adjacent to property lawns.
• Use testing methods to determine deficiencies in soil parameters and correct with proper supplements.
• Clean the maintenance areas daily.
• Operate light maintenance equipment authorized by supervisor.
• Complete all Landscaping duties as assigned.
• Operate various mowers, string trimmers, and light maintenance equipment.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily.

Looking for Team Members with:

• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Previous experience in proper turf care and identification of turf pests and diseases
• Valid State Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
• High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
