JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Work in collaboration with other designers & landscape supervisors on a wide array of projects.

• Follow up with assigned customer leads in a timely fashion to set up initial consultations.

• Obtain knowledge of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project prior to the design phase and keep customers apprised of any regulations that may require permitting or engineering.

• When necessary, work with our partners to facilitate certified plot plans, wetlands plans and the permitting process for projects with special circumstances.

• Turn around initial budget figures, simple estimates and designer retainer agreements within proposed timelines.

• Create thoughtful, on-trend CAD & 3D designs and inspiration examples that meet and exceed all client needs.

• Generate detailed, itemized proposals using Dynascape Manage 360.

• Put together exciting, in-depth presentations for clients

• Participate in weekly sales and scheduling meetings to report the status of current projects and discuss upcoming projects.

• Source and order all materials in a timely fashion to ensure on-time project start dates.

• Build strong relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values

• Visit projects periodically to assist build crews in setting up and make sure that the original design intent is being achieved.

• Work with the field operations and internal operations team throughout the process to ensure projects are on budget and billing milestones are being met.

• Participate in final job-closeout and punch list completion.

• Act as a liaison between the customer and landscape maintenance team for ongoing care of newly installed landscapes.

• Maintain an ongoing relationship with clients beyond project completion to ensure their continued business and willingness to refer Lynch to their family and friends.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Construction, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management preferred or equivalent related work experience

Skills / Competencies

• Well versed in New England plant identification and care as well as popular hardscaping products for the New England region.

• Must have a strong understanding of construction materials and processes.

• Strong sales and customer service skills.

• Excellent communication & organizational skills.

• Must be proficient in CAD based programs, preferably Dynascape Design.

• Proficiencies in SketchUp and Adobe Suite preferred.

• Must be proficient in all computer software programs used in estimating, knowledge of Dynascape Manage 360 is a plus.

• Must have strong mathematical and computer skills. Proficiency with all MS Office products.

• Ability to understand and use blueprints and other project planning/ technical documents.

• Read and interpret project specifications and plans from the residential and commercial teams to prepare detailed, comprehensive and accurate quantity and material price take-offs

• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

• Ability to professionally communicate the basis for individual work products within a highly stressed environment.

• Ability and willingness to abide by policies.

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and possess a strong work ethic.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

• High attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

Pay: Salary Starting at $65,000/year plus commission and is commensurate with skill set and experience
