Laboratory And Operations Assistant

Job duties:

• Mix, store, and dispose of chemical solutions (may include hazardous materials)
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area at all times
• Stock laboratory supplies as directed
• Perform labeling and kitting of reagents
• Other duties as assigned
• Comply with all manufacturing, regulatory, and safety requirements
• Ensure all labware, equipment, and work areas are clean and safe
• Perform routine laboratory procedures and follow lab protocols
• Perform inspection, packaging, and shipping
• Assist in wet-lab workflows and experiments to synthesize oligonucleotides and other biomolecules
• Support all day-to-day manufacturing activities in the laboratory

Requirements
Preferred educational and experimental background:
High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred. Previous working experience in a wet-lab is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A successful applicant must be dedicated, responsible, detail-oriented, well-organized, efficient and capable of working closely and communicating with others in the team. The following lab skills are preferred: polyacrylamide and agarose gel electrophoresis and general molecular biology experience.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $18 to $26 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
