Lab Technician Jobs

Forte Analytical, a Colorado based metallurgical testing facility, is seeking a lab technician. Training will be provided as required. This person will work with our engineers and lab manager to focus on general mineral processing testing for mine development and enhancement projects. The job location is in Fort Collins.

Background in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental, and other related engineering fields is a plus.

Summary of Duties / Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

• Provide testing insight and recommendations for testing modifications
• Procurement assistance
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Assist engineering staff with other testing needs
• Conduct sample preparation, crushing, grinding, lifting, packing, transporting, staging, etc.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
• Conduct basic metallurgical, geotechnical, and geochemical testing

Education:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in science related field preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Understanding of basic math and chemistry required
• Comprehension of Microsoft Suite of programs (Excel, Word, Project)

Experience Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., repeatedly, as needed
• Able to read and understand written procedures and standard operation procedures
• Able to work safely with hazardous chemicals
• Able to wear mandatory safety equipment (safety shoes and respirator)
• All task-specific training will be provided as needed

Salary: $37,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
