The Salary Range For This Position Is


$22.39 - $28.93 Hourly


$1,791.23 - $2,314.04 Biweekly


$3,881.00 - $5,013.75 Monthly


$46,572.00 - $60,165.00 Annually


The Division of Oil and Public Safety’s Amusement Rides and Devices program exists to ensure implementation of statutory mandates or requirements and to maintain a safe Colorado work, educational and living environment utilizing codes, standards and rules adopted by the Division of Oil and Public Safety. The program certifies and oversees third-party inspectors of amusement rides and devices and also oversees operators of amusement rides and devices. Amusement rides or devices include, but are not limited to, an aggregation of amusement rides or devices in an amusement setting such as amusement parks, carnivals, fairs and festivals; bungee jumping, bungee trampolines, trampolines (institutional, trampoline courts, trampoline court foam pits); climbing walls in amusement settings; concession go-karts; bumper devices; gravity-propelled rides and devices; water slides; trackless trains; simulators; stationary wave systems; aerial adventure courses; and traditional amusement rides. The program requires annual registration prior to operation to ensure that amusement rides and devices have received the required third-party inspections and obtained adequate insurance coverage in the event that an accident occurs.


The Explosives Program ensures the safety of workers and the public and protects property by regulating individuals and businesses that use, manufacture, purchase, possess, sell, store, transport, and dispose of explosives or blasting agents. The program exists to ensure implementation of statutory mandates or requirements, maintain a safe Colorado work, educational and living environment utilizing codes, standards and rules adopted by the Division of Oil and Public Safety.


Substitutions

Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Minimum Qualifications


Education and Experience:


Three (3) years of experience providing technical or customer support (explaining processes,


application/documentation review, and communication with stakeholders), including


experience in database or file management system use.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience providing customer service: explaining processes, application/documentation review, and communication with stakeholders/clients.
  • Project experience, including the skills to: set, track, and accomplish priorities, goals, and timetables to achieve maximum productivity, knowing the status of activities at various stages in the process.
  • Preference given to applicants with experience in the amusement industry or related fields such as adventure attractions, family fun centers, resorts, or similar.


Required Competencies


  • Data entry and record filing
  • Implementing codes, standards, regulations, statutes, or similar
  • Competency with systems such as Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat Pro, spreadsheets, and similar computer programs.
