Lab Technician I (Part-time)

      Position Description:

      Every day, in ways both big and small, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is impacting lives for the better. MCW … changemaking for a healthier Wisconsin. In the role of a Lab Technician I you will be working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
      This is a part-time position working 10 - 15 hours per week.

      As a Lab Tech you will perform independent standard and complex laboratory research procesures; maintain zebrafish feeding and care, record and present data. Assist other researchers in experimentation and data collection.
      Primary Functions
      • Assist in feeding, breeding, and maintenance of zebrafish colony.
      • Participate in meetings with principle investigator and research staff as needed.
      • Will need to work on Saturday or Sunday for 3+ hours.
      • Assist with lab procedures and experiments for individual research investigators as needed.
      • Assist in laboratory organization (glassware washing, autoclaving, and inventory).

      Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
      Ability to learn general laboratory procedures. Ability to use independent judgment. Ability to read, understand, follow direction of safety procedures. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required
