What You'll Do

GreenLake Cloud Platform team is seeking a Lab Administrator who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The focus of this position will be to support all aspects of lab infrastructure and a wide variety of hardware, operating systems, and applications.

• Ordering, receiving shipments, installing, maintaining, and supporting hardware, and system software components.
• Work with global HPE labs and IT to procure and configure networking needs to support OCTO organization.
• Administering storage platforms and provisioning within the environment.
• Managing a lab environment that includes network equipment, servers and storage systems.
• Administering Linux operating systems and provisioning applications and software.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system setups, and procedures. Create and maintain documentation related to server installations, configurations, and changes.
• Administering VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning VMs.
• Design, implement, and maintain the lab's network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Work closely with OCTO QA and development teams to provide assistance to them for their lab needs.

What You’ll Need

• 5-8 years of experience in setting up lab infrastructure including procuring, racking, and configuring networking equipment.
• Hands on experience with Linux operating system and it’s configuration.
• Understanding of common networking protocols e.g. DHCP, NAT, DNS, Proxy, Dynamic and static IP Routing and firewalls.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Hands on experience with configuration of Aruba networking devices, HP compute and storage devices and VMware ESXi/vCenter. Knowledge of Cisco device configuration is a plus.
• Must be local to Houston office.

Annual Salary: $83,500.00 - $192,100.00
