Background & Purpose of the Job


Customer Development (CD) is what we call our Sales organization at Unilever. Customer Development works closely with our customers to pioneer new products, build categories and deploy best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities.


The Kroger Beauty & Personal Care Team Lead role leads a team responsible for delivering the $275M Annual Kroger Beauty & Personal Care Joint Business Plan across all Beauty & Personal Care categories including Hair, Deodorant, Personal Cleansing, Skin, & Multi-Cultural.


This Cincinnati based position will lead the Kroger Personal Care team consisting of 5 direct reports including Customer Business Managers and Analysts. Indirectly, the Team Lead role leads priorities and the integration of efforts from dedicated Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Retail sales field team and Supply Chain Team members.


What You’ll Do


  • Build a regular operational review process to course correct in order to exceed the revenue, profit, and share targets to continuously improve forecast accuracy and return on investment.
  • Responsible for all aspects of operational delivery of the business plan including initiating growth platforms, forecasting & retail inventory level management, supply chain compliance and managing deductions and balancing trade investment.
  • Lead both near-term and long-term join business plan; Lead the development of strategic platforms and other growth drivers in order to achieve growth targets.
  • Responsible for the Kroger Personal Care customer strategy including all components of the go to market plan including “Big Bets”, innovation execution, trade investment ROI and the integration of shopper marketing plans with merchandising plans.
  • Development of team talent.

What You’ll Need To Succeed


  • Ability to strategically influence through clear, simple and concise communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities amongst complex and conflicting objectives.
  • Ability to lead a cultural transformation by creating and selling progressive ways of growing the business.
  • Bachelor's Degree required with Minimum 7 years in Tier 1 Packaged Goods Customer Development experience with at least 2 years of cross functional experience in marketing or channel & category development.
  • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in IRI share data, POS data and Loyalty data.
  • Proven experience leading teams is a must.


Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.


Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.


Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
