The Knowledge Management Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation. The Knowledge Management Specialist will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and capture critical knowledge, develop knowledge management systems and tools, and promote a knowledge sharing culture within the organization. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience in organizational design and development, knowledge management, and project management.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead knowledge management projects, including scoping, planning, executing and closing out projects, and ensuring project timelines, and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capture critical knowledge and expertise, including best practices, lessons learned, and intellectual property.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication programs to promote a knowledge sharing culture and improve employee awareness, understanding, and adoption of knowledge management practices and tools.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders on knowledge management issues, opportunities and challenges.
  • Design, develop and maintain knowledge management systems, tools and platforms to support the collection, storage, sharing, and dissemination of knowledge across the organization.


Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in knowledge management and organizational development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in knowledge management, technical writing, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in knowledge management, information science, technical writing, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Experience implementing knowledge management systems, tools and platforms.
