Job Description
Description

Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager/Head Cook, Kitchen Aides are responsible to assist in preparation of meals and kitchen operations for Newaygo County seniors.

Examples of Duties

  • Assist with meal preparations, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, and any other kitchen duties that may be assigned.
  • Cleaning tables and chairs in the dining room, preparing vegetables for the salad bar, helping with beverages, serving meals if necessary, and organizing meal supplies.

Typical Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Experience: Six (6) months prior experience in a food preparation environment is preferred.

  • Must possess the ability to lift cases and pans of food and work in a kitchen environment.
Supplemental Information

  • Must submit to pre-employment drug testing and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License
