Job Summary

Provide a summary of role and responsibilities – The JV Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s joint interest billing accounting functions and ensuring that expenditures are recorded within the framework of Grayson Mill Energy’s policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations.

Location: Houston, TX

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with WES.
• Prepare journal entries as required for JIBs.
• Review, analyze, and process operated and non-operated JIBs
• Perform monthly Account Reconciliations for assigned accounts
• Identify and apply appropriate coding to JIB/vendor invoices for LOE, CapEx and related expense accounts.
• Respond to all non-op partner queries on operated Joint Venture Invoices
• Perform Special Projects as assigned by the supervisor
• Perform JIB research related to operator statements, working interest issues, billing disputes, and other differences
• Prepare Aged Accounts Receivable reports and follow up on outstanding items

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• 3 -5 years of experience in Joint Venture and/or Operations Accounting in oil & gas
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Experience with Energylink and oil and gas operations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team environment
• Experience with WES (W Energy Software)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
