Location: Champaign/Illinois, Indianapolis/Indiana or Des Moines/Iowa (Onsite from Day 1)

  • We're looking for a full-stack generalist with Python and React experience, excellent communication skills, and a growth mindset.
  • This position is for a Software Engineer I or II on the Remote Sensing team which owns the satellite imagery ingest pipeline, microservices, and UI/UX experience for tens of millions of acres of farmland.

REQUIREMENTS: (Highlighted Skill Sets are required)

  • Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, and RDS (PostgreSQL)
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines
  • 1-2 years React development experience
  • Build and maintain elegant, responsive applications in a TypeScript-driven React framework
  • Author well-structured, extensible code along with unit and integration tests
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in a fully-automated CI/CD environment
  • Triage, diagnose and address issues in collaboration with other engineers
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • 1-2 years Python experience or a willingness and proven ability to learn new programming languages quickly
  • Participate in code reviews, delivering and receiving constructive feedback
  • Build and maintain reliable, scalable Python pipelines and microservices
