Summary of Duties: Analyze the client and investment management lifecycle, including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, business operational workflows, and overall reporting platforms to design the best solutions. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation, and production support. Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies. Leverage and learn core technologies designed in-house to scale solutions.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or a related role. Must also have two (2) years of experience with: using SQL and corresponding tools to query data; programming using Java, Python, Cassandra, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, UNIX, multi-threading, and methodologies including test driven development and object oriented design and programming; and utilizing Agile development methodologies.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $152,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
