Job Description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Junior Software Developer for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
  • Design and build software applications and integrations within the MES space using the Dassault Apriso system in conjunction with outsourced development teams
  • Able to interact confidently with stakeholders from any position, and any region, including Factory Personnel, Product Owners, Business Leaders, and Senior Managers.
  • Familiar with the full development lifecycle including requirements capture, analysis, design, test, documentation, maintenance, and configuration management
  • Structure and deliver work results against defined standards
  • Collaborate with team members to design, build, and develop architectures and solutions.
  • Perform advanced Tier 3 support and troubleshooting
  • Be actively involved with change management initiatives, implementing designed MES solutions across multiple factories and countries
  • Work in an agile framework of product development and can translate Product Features into well-defined development tasks, working closely with Third Party Developers, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Business Leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Problem-solving skills with proven ability to trace and fix complex issues
  • Ability to work and deliver in an Agile Framework
  • Knowledge of software patterns and practices
  • Familiarity with technologies such as JavaScript/JQuery, HTML, HTML CSS, SQL, version control, web services, APIs, UI/UX development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Preferred experience with DELMIA Apriso, C#, manufacturing controls
  • Working knowledge of programming methodologies, structures, and concepts
  • Ability to work systematically and logically to analyse situations, resolve problems, identify causes, and anticipate implications
