This position oversees all business intelligence, software, and web development for BYU Dining Services and its associated business units and operations. Position also supervises three student development teams in the Dining Technology Group.
Essential Functions
- Create procedures and coordinate training in BI (business intelligence) and ETL (extract, transform, load) tools used in data warehousing and reporting projects, including Tableau and Informatica. Establish checks and controls to ensure data accuracy and report reliability for the entire BI lifecycle.
- Lead reporting development operations, prioritizing reporting needs based on feedback from Dining executive team and area management.

- Support web APIs and other critical web infrastructure. Manage certificates and web hosting for Dining Services web sites.
- Position is the product owner for Dining Services features in the BYU app. Coordinate with the Office of IT on projects to create new features and update existing features.
- Oversee user experience design. Develop standards that create consistency between all websites and applications. Ensure regular user experience updates, based on engagement and feedback sessions with users.

- Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, content management systems).

- Higher ed technology management experience.
- Familiarity or experience with Mendix.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
