Junior Security Engineer

Location: This position requires the selected candidate to live in the Scottsdale, AZ area; On-Site position.

We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to join the Lumifi Infrastructure team. Your primary responsibilities will be supporting the designing and implementing best-practice-based configurations, customizations, and automations on internal IT infrastructure, including IT Audit requirements, Azure deployments, Office365, SIEM management, management of internal IT resources, change management, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, RBAC, and MDM. This position is a blend of security duties and system administration. We are located in Scottsdale, AZ and the position is on-site.

What You Will Be Doing

• Utilizing progressive troubleshooting skills
• Support running regular vulnerability management tasks, with the option to participate in DevSecOps
• Participate in On-Call Incident Response for security incidents report from our SOC
• Demonstration of understanding advanced cloud networking concepts
• Administering, upgrading, and supporting a variety of Cloud systems in Azure (Linux, Windows, Network)
• Help improve the overall security of our environment via best practices such as Zero Trust Networking
• Providing Engineering support for assets deployed in Azure, Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory
• Running asset management and change management programs
• Support SOC 2 Type 2 certification process, with additional compliance to be added in the future
• Integrating diverse systems and automating tasks, such as Infrastructure as Code via terraform
• Support quarterly penetration testing against our internal and external environments

Additional duties may be assigned based on organizational need and operational necessity.

What You Bring to Lumifi

• Ability to identify system faults, triage, troubleshooting, and see issues through to resolution
• Ability to react quickly, decisively, and deliberately in high stress situations
• Experience with Terraform and/or Kubernetes is a plus
• 1-2 years’ experience creating automations to address repetitive tasks, such as scripting or Infrastructure as Code
• 1-2 years’ experience in at least one major provider (ex. Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with other departments while working on other complex issues or tasks
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn new technologies effectively in a changing production environment
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task
• Previous experience working in environments with compliance standards such as HIPPA, PCI, SOC II, ISO, NIST or other security compliance standards
• Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and access control
