Junior Publicist Jobs

EKC PR (www.EKCPR.com.), a full-service boutique Branding, Marketing and PR firm specializing in entertainment, is looking for a PR Assistant, Jr. Publicist and Account Executive to join their dedicated team immediately in West Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be creative, intelligent, extremely articulate, and hardworking, with natural abilities and a deep passion for PR, Marketing, Branding and social media.

PRIMARY DUTIES (including but not limited to):

· Authoring pitches, press releases, and biographies in accordance with AP Style.

· Drafting strategy and creative ideas for new business proposals.

· Proofreading and editing.

· Handling incoming phone calls and delivering information to executive staff.

· Developing and executing social media strategies for client roster.

· Participation in brainstorming sessions.

· Compiling & updating media lists.

· Pitching to media personnel and building relationships in new industries.

· Securing media coverage - in local, regional, and national outlets.

· Handling clients' day-to-day requests and maintaining client relations. -

· Tracking media coverage.

· Maintaining and updating EKC PR's website.

· Supervision and mentoring of EKC PR's internship program.

· Working closely with the Founder.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2 years experience in PR, Branding, or Marketing.

· Strong media contacts.

· Strong writer, editor, and proofreader.

· Excellent phone demeanor.

· Detail oriented and extremely organized.

· Collaborative and entrepreneurial attitude.

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and switch projects as needed.

· Proficient with Mac computers and Microsoft Office software.

· Proficient with CISION and Marketwired software.

· Willing to work client events some evenings and weekends.

· Familiar with Wordpress and Squarespace website formats.

HOURS:

· 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. PST (some event work during evenings and/or weekends).

SALARY/BENEFITS:

· Negotiable depending on experience.
