Vital Versatility is currently seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and organized, Account Coordinator ready to embark on a PR career with our dynamic and growing team. The ideal, entry-level candidate will have an interest in working alongside senior staff across clients spanning multiple verticals, including music, entertainment, sports, food, social justice, TV/film, fashion and more.
We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to thrive in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments. This individual must be able to meet tight deadlines, think creatively, boast a solution-minded approach and support on all core account tasks, including research and analysis, collateral development, media relations and more. Primary Responsibilities
- Research relevant media outlets, reporters and influencers for client outreach and build/update media lists to maintain accurate information.
- Schedule client and internal meetings/calls and spearhead the development of corresponding agendas/recaps
- Vet incoming press inquiries for clients for interviews, photo shoots, events, etc. and drive media opportunities forward.
- Assist with interviewing and managing interns.
- Provide on-site support to staff events, coordinate logistics, assist campaigns, etc.
- Monitor and share key findings on emerging media platforms, reporter and influencer moves, news trends, client competitor news and more.
- Conduct thorough daily media monitoring and develop comprehensive coverage reports around client announcements.
- Craft client-facing media materials, such as media advisories, briefing documents, bios, one-pagers, etc.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Previous intern or work experience in Public Relations or related communications department.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel, as necessary, contingent on client needs.
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to becoming an expert on clients’ industries and the competitive landscape.
- Boast a basic understanding of media relations (ex: pitching, writing press releases, identifying creative pitch angles and news trends)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with superior proofreading abilities.
- Must maintain professional demeanor and conduct across all forms of internal and external communications and interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field preferred.
