Role Overview: Product Certifications and Markings Project Manager (Contract) - Looking for a candidate that is an experienced Project Manager with a Technical background. Product certifications and markings knowledge is not a must for a candidate with a strong desire to learn.
In this role we are passionate about helping people reach their fullest human potential, so they can feel more, do more, and be more. We do this within the Compliance Assurance Engineering team, by supporting the timely global launch of compliant, certified products. In support of our company vision and team mission, we are seeking a flexible, articulate, and dedicated individual to join our Product Certifications and Markings team as a Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Holding our partners and team members accountable to schedule dates and action items, ensuring schedule integration with markings and other internal customers that require timely certification data, training stakeholders on our processes that impact them and soliciting feedback, and continuously and agilely working to improve the certifications and markings workstream and integration points.
- Drive workstream process improvement initiatives that may include upfront project planning and risk identification and mitigation, project execution and risk management, project status reporting, and better integration with our many stakeholders across the product development landscape.
- Meeting with our internal teams to identify schedule risk and mitigation options, overseeing the certification schedules of our external partners to ensure program requirements and overall critical milestones are being met.
- Oversee, and at times directly manage, the product certifications and markings workstream for both new product launches and products in the field.
- You will accomplish this by maturing our external business partners while at the same time collaborating with our internal compliance team, engineering teams, and other product development functions to ensure we are continuously improving our scheduling processes, metrics, and tools ultimately contributing to the global launch of compliant products that wow our customers.
Skills:
- Ability to influence across multidisciplinary groups to achieve clearly defined and scoped goals.
- Experience with product development processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint.
- Stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of project management software, like MS Project or SmartSheets.
- Ability to work collaboratively while at the same time ensuring accountability across the workstream and the desire to constantly learn.
- Lean Six Sigma training is a plus.
- Engineering product compliance, certifications and marking knowledge is a plus.
- Proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities, framing them up, and developing inclusive, creative solutions.
- Marking and Label process and tool knowledge and experience (software, services, etc.) is a plus.
- Cross-functional technical project management.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Collaborative approach to daily work and process improvement efforts.
Experience/Educational requirements:
- 3 or more years in a cross-functional technical project management role is required.
- Technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
