The Opportunity

As a Junior Application Developer supporting our Digital Delivery Service (DDS) Division, you will work closely with internal and external clients and serve as both a consultant and solutions provider. You will work with solutions architects to define novel solutions to technology and business problems. You will assist in testing, quality assurance, and post rollout troubleshooting and enhancements. You should demonstrate the flexibility to acquire the necessary skills for implementation.

You should have general programming experience and an understanding of one or more of the following: front end experience in HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks like Angular/Node/React/Vue/Nux, backend database understanding in MySQL, and a good understanding of web design and usability. Experience in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as liaison with internal partners and individual users to ensure positive web experience.
• Create associated documentation for web applications.
• Build web applications using predefined template structures to respond to client needs.
• Develop code in JavaScript frameworks including Angular, React, Vue, and Nux.
• Support clients’ technical issues with web applications.
• Demonstrate the ability to pick up additional skills quickly, including basic dev-ops tasks in AWS or Azure.
• Ensure that all documents and applications meet established content standards.
• Integrate applications with backend databases such as MySQL.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Participate in client needs assessments, and develop strategy and information architecture, including sitemaps and wireframes.

What We Value

• Experience using software development tools like Jira and Confluence.
• A desire to write re-usable, readable code using the most up to date industry standards.
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Experience working with version control repositories like Bitbucket or GitHub.
• Expertise with HTML5 / CSS.
• Drupal and/or PHP experience a plus.
• BA/BS with (0-2) years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with backend databases such as MySQL.
• Expertise working with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Nux.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Effective communication skills, particularly in translating perceived needs into technical requirements.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $65,111.30 to $91,155.82 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
