What you’ll be able to do:
  • Practice software engineering excellence while developing web applications and tools from a backlog, employing pair programming and other practices.
  • Advocate the use of Agile principles and other proven practices such as test-driven development (TDD)
  • You will have interactions with Ford leadership and needs to have good communication (both written and oral) and should feel comfortable not waiting and being told what to do.
  • You will be responsible for creating products to host Supply Chain Analytics algorithms.
  • Help PDO teams adopt new ways of working and contribute to Ford’s institutional knowledge
  • Work with application development teams and be a change agent
  • Become an experienced software engineer that can mentor teams on Agile ways of working, producing well-crafted code

The minimum requirements we seek:
  • 3+ years of experience in Angular
  • 7 + years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field of study

Our preferred requirements:
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and apply to solve business problems/opportunities
  • Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, Gradle, etc.
  • Full stack experience, even if the specialty is in one area
  • Familiar with deploying to cloud platforms, preferably GCP or AWS
  • Delivered products that include web front-end development; JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, etc.
  • Automated Testing experience (Unit, Integration, E2E)
  • In depth knowledge of any programming language
  • Passion to become a Software Engineer who’s proud of clean code
  • 7+ years of experience with software engineering and testing, experience working in an Agile Environment, and experience with Rally.
