Programmer/Web Developer

Position Summary:

Tempora Resources, Ltd, a web design and development micro firm, is seeking a part-time to a full-time developer to join our growing company. You will be tasked with assisting in the implementation and maintenance of WordPress and Magento websites. Additionally, you may be assisting with routine administration and maintenance of on-premise systems.

Responsibilities

• WordPress and Magento implementation and maintenance

• Architect new web application solutions to fulfill project requirements

• Implement layouts of designs provided for new and existing web pages

• Create and maintain database designs for data storage and processing

• Maintain legacy code written by other developers, including bug fixes

• Integrate external software libraries and APIs into existing projects

Skills & Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of web development programming languages such as; PHP, Aspx.Net, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, and Node.js

• Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices

• Experience with various database architectures such as; MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL, MongoDB

• Experience with common environments and web development tools such as Linux, Git, Eclipse, Visual Studio

• Knowledge of system administration in both Microsoft Server and Linux to perform routine updates and configurations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

• Punctual, good work ethic, and positive attitude

• Flexible working environments; onsite, remote, teams or a lone developer

Job Type: Part-time to Full-time

Pay: Hourly/Salary based on commensurate with experience

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university; or at least two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to commute/relocate: Houston, TX 77040, Northwest Crossing: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred). The office is at one location.
