Jr Underwriting Assistant Or Rating Analyst

Knowledge & Skills:

· Perform accurate math calculations including some use of algebraic formulas. Analyze written information for accuracy and completeness. Express ideas clearly, both in written and oral communications. Excellent time management skills. Strong customer service orientation. Demonstrated aptitude with products in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Complexity and Judgement:

· Underwrite Insurance risk of limited scope or routine in nature. Applies appropriate underwriting guidelines, procedures, contract provisions, and state insurance statutes. Provides and analyzes data from which answers can be readily attained.

Independence and Supervision Required:

· Typically received detailed instructions on all work. Takes ownership of routine work and operates with little guidance after a period of initial training.
