Our team is looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator to focus on the development and administration of a wide variety of systems and environments in Colorado Springs, CO. You will be responsible for deploying and configuring software releases to both test and operational environments. You will also be responsible for maintaining these systems, configuring both operating systems and software products, as well as installing required software patches and security updates for the systems. In addition, you may provide assistance during test and integration events by resolving system problems, provide system backups, and system maintenance. You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world, cutting edge Space Situational Awareness systems which are changing how the Space community is doing business.
Candidate must have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and/or 5+ years of experience in system administration.
  • System Administration skills in Red Hat Linux and Windows Server/Workstation
• Knowledge and experience with VMware and virtualization
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Windows Powershell and Unix shell for troubleshooting and automation of routine tasks
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing, Docker Containers, Amazon Web Services
• Experience maintaining multiple baseline environments (production, test, development)
  • High level of self-motivation, ability to define, manage, and prioritize tasks in a team environment
  • DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CCNA, etc.) or ability to obtain
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, enjoy customer interactions
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of authentication/authorization software e.g. Active Directory

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge with installation and maintenance of backup and recovery solutions

• Experience with installation and maintenance of databases such as Oracle, Postgres, MySQL

• Experience with full DevOps toolchain (JIRA, Gitlab, Jenkins, Fortify, Artifactory, Docker)

• Experience with interpretation and application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of application and web servers
• Experience with administration of configuration management software and automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Experience with configuration management and software build processes
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools e.g. ACAS, SIEM, HBSS

• This position requires the selected candidate to be able to obtain and hold an active Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:


Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to configure and operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 30 pounds across facility.

Salary Range:

$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
