AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in New York, NY.
Our Structural Engineers are involved in planning, preparation and design for New York Metro transportation bridge projects. This is a wonderful opportunity to work on a variety of exciting design/build projects that are highly visible adding value to your career development. These could be small, medium and large projects, including long-span bridges. If you would enjoy being part of a Global Team interacting with colleagues globally, this will give you some global exposure, as well.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and two (2) years of relevant experience in transportation structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in NY Metro agencies
• Ability to hold a EIT within 6 months of hire
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is nice to have
• Proficiency with CAD and similar computer software
• Experience working with bridges

Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $76,000 to $130,000.
