Jr. Security Engineer

We are looking for an entry-level Security Engineer to join a team and help protect the company's systems and data from cyber threats. You will be responsible for performing security assessments, implementing security solutions, monitoring security incidents, and responding to security issues. In addition, this position will assist the infrastructure team in providing reporting to the CIO for Security and Infrastructure systems on a scheduled basis. This position will directly report to our Network Security Manager with a dotted line report to our Infrastructure Director.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, etc.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, PCI, etc.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Carbon Black
• Infrastructure Firmware updates, OS upgrades, security software patches and version upgrades.
• Cyber Security statistics including VPN logs, WiFi, Windows events logs
• DNStwister.
• Standardized Auditing and Reporting for the following:
• Microsoft 365 security strategy and management
• Splunk
• Alert Monitoring and Escalation via
• Firewalls (Meraki and SonicWall
• SSL Cert management
• Trend Micro’s Vision One (XDR data), Apex One, Cloud One.
• Mimecast,
• Infrastructure vitals for disk capacity, Memory usage, CPU usage, SDWAN, etc.
• PAM (Privileged Access Management)
