Kashiv BioSciences is a fully integrated biosciences company with an expanded and dynamic platform for growth including advanced drug delivery technologies, biosimilars, prodrugs, and a large development pipeline. We are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to join our Chicago, IL team.

Information Technology Systems Administrator is a regular employee in a full-time exempt position at Kashiv BioSciences, LLC, in Chicago, IL. Supports the system administration aspect of all GxP and Non-GxP infrastructure, systems, users, applications, and assets. This position is for on-site (Chicago, IL) and candidate must be willing to travel to other Kashiv and subsidiary locations to support the business as required by the management. Detail job description is as follows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Provide laboratory/manufacturing support and assistance.
  • Configures and maintains virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) systems (Citrix and VMWare).
  • Windows Administration including Implementation of New projects, VPN, MPLS, EPABX, ERP & File Servers. Sets up employee workstations and maintains antiviruses for all workstations.
  • Foster and manage vendor relationships for procurement and support.
  • Experience with managing and maintaining virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Assisting users with troubleshooting software/ hardware/driver issues and managed accounts in Active Directory, Multifactor Authentication, and Mobile Device Management. Subject-Matter Expert to support L1 agents via Slack and Quick Assist and created Knowledge-based articles for common issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of new implementations.
  • Manages multiple virtual machines and environments. Sets up and manages virtual private network (VPN) environments.
  • Utilize Zendesk as a ticketing system and conduct daily meetings to ensure timely ticket resolution.
  • Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Manages the internal information systems function, including systems programming, applications programming, networks, and computer operations.
  • Troubleshoots network operation system, software, and hardware issues, Works with trouble ticket system for a documentation trail, Runs diagnostics on computer hardware.
  • Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment
  • System administration of all GxP and Non-GxP infrastructure, systems, users, applications, and assets.\ in the Laboratory and Office networks.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and experience in managing user accounts, security groups, and group policies
  • Other tasks as requested by management’s discretion.
  • Manage security policies for antivirus software to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Emphasis is on full-cycle development, configuration, and quality reviews, including system integration and user acceptance.
  • Coordinates with functional departments as needed, including meeting with System Owners/SMEs or other team member to coordinate any IT needs for specific systems.
  • Utilize inventory tracking software to effectively manage IT assets.
  • Create network roles and rights for onboarding users per guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong technical expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
  • Responsible for systems administration, maintenance, back up, restoration and performance optimization.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
  • Refurbish legacy hardware to minimize costs associated with new system purchases.
  • Conduct research and implement new technologies as necessary to optimize operations.
Requirements:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience, concentration in IT, computing, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 4 to 5 years of experience working within IT or within an applicable function that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.

Special Skills:

  • Knowledge of GxP, validation and qualification practices
  • Administration, maintenance, backup, restoration, and performance optimization of the company's information systems. To manage business continuity and recovery, as well as plan and execute equipment selection, installation, configuration, and testing.
  • Troubleshooting and ensuring that the IT infrastructure is up and running around the clock.
  • Diagnoses and resolution of Level One Problems for users of the mainframe, personal computers software and hardware, internet connectivity.
  • IT & Compliance Systems Administration of the GxP and Non-GxP systems. Unique blend of technical expertise and customer service skills.

  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • General work environment and physical demands as required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Moderate travel is required.
