Job Description
Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience, with 2 years of in-depth experience in Information Technology (IT) systems and some experience with Azure cloud computing platform. Experience in high-tech industry preferred. IT Industry certifications a plus.


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.

: The IT Support Specialist provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and all processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. The IT Support Specialist must be comfortable working with team members while demonstrating patience and a willingness to teach the end-user as well as other team-mates. The IT Support Specialist reports to the IT Manager and will take a technical support role in implementation of IT projects, including testing, deployment, maintenance, and security log review/tracking.


Responsibilities Include


  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and software and peripherals.
  • Support network connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Work with other IT team members and managers to understand and update systems configuration documents, technical specifications, and develop and implement test plans, test scripts, and document server changes for Windows and UNIX environment.
  • Responsible for securing windows server and system administration to include imaging, maintaining, troubleshooting, patching, and repairing environments while staying current with latest CVEs.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs., work in tight areas, under desks, labs, ability to climb ladders ~8’-12’.
  • Create, revise and document process and procedures for IT and end users.
  • Must be able to drive to remote locations.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, maintain Active Directory and Active Directory Group Policy.
  • Daily security log review of all systems (CCTV, Servers, Network, desktop systems, iPhone, RMF Systems) as well as daily IT security checks and walks of facility.
  • Respond to incoming IT requests via walk-ups, phone, email or IT Ticket System.

Required Experience / Capability


  • 2+ years support of UNIX/LINUX OS and production environments.
  • Commitment to Excellence. Attention to Detail. Pride in Workmanship.
  • Effectively manage their daily schedule and priorities with minimal daily direction to meet immediate and strategic operational needs.
  • 3+ years in a role directly supporting customers in a technical capacity.
  • Follows pre-established system policies and processes and recommend improvements.
  • Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, switching and routing.
  • Experienced in analysis of system faults, troubleshooting, and running diagnostic tests on operating systems (Windows/Linux) and hardware to detect problems.
  • 3+ years Microsoft Server and desktop support experience.
  • Scripting such as Python; BASH, Powershell, Batch Script, and XML.
  • Good organizational skills, documentation skills, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain composure and good working relationships under pressure.


Additional Desired Skills And Certifications


  • 3+ years supporting server infrastructure and virtualization technologies, i.e VMWare and HyperV.
  • End-Point management
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems.
  • GCC High Administration experience.


Salary Range: $60k - $80K depending on education and experience.
