Director& Summary
A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.As a part of our Internal Firm Services, you’ll provide strategic oversight, manage operations, and develop policies for all aspects of the Finance team.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates proven thought-leader knowledge levels of, and success in financial operations leadership roles, preferably for a global network of professional services consulting firms and/or public accounting. Experienced strategic leader as a CFO with international experience reporting to a board of directors, which includes the following areas:
- Possessing and leveraging an in-depth knowledge of the firm’s operations, financial systems, policies and procedures to provide critical financial and operational guidance and direction to firm leadership, including compliance and regulatory reporting matters;
- Monitoring international business trends and making well-thought, actionable recommendations to address; and,
- Prior success in roles within a global consulting firm and/or public accounting is highly preferred; and,
- International financial reporting standards (IFRS) and working with accounting standards
Demonstrates proven thought leader-level abilities and success with developing and implementing financial strategies including:
- Working directly with the Firm’s finance team to implement financial strategies;
- Overseeing the team responsible for properly accounting for the Firm's financial activity and providing analysis and decision support to leadership for all accounting and financial transactions, including multi-territory budgets;
- Leading and directing accounting operations projects involving stakeholders across Controller Operations, Network and localTax, Network Treasury and Network Finance;
- Coordinating with Internal Audit and external auditors on operational audits of Finance areas, including subsidiaries and branches;
- Providing strategic direction for direct reports and align goals, priorities and key activities of the team with the strategic direction of the Firm; anticipate future needs of the organization and customer(s) and act to meet those needs;
- Recognizing ineffective strategies and recommending alternative approaches or solutions to capitalize on change, serving as a key change enabler of the team;
- Identifying, anticipating and resolving technical issues within the context of the department's business;
- Leading and actively participating in special projects, coordinating staff participation and aligning skill sets with overall project objectives;
- Demonstrating stewardship of fiduciary responsibilities for a significant part of the business and be viewed as a trusted business advisor providing relevant financial information and guidance to leadership; enabling well informed, strategic business decisions; and, monitoring the business environment for trends that could potentially affect success of the organization and acts to address them;
- Operating with a high level of influence when interacting effectively with target audiences to build consensus on difficult issues, such as proposed changes in operating procedures, development of new methodologies;
- Leading and managing remote teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, and create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, and coach staff to encourage development and innovation; and,
- Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g. Google, Teams) as a primary form of team management.

Compensation range: $192,000-$333,000 and may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and where the applicant resides within California.

Compensation range: $179,500-$292,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Compensation range: $205,000-333,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
