We are looking for a security analyst to join our team. Security analysts play an important role in the ever-increasing cyber security threat to organizations. Overall, a successful security analyst combines technical expertise, business acumen, effective communication, and a strong passion for continuous learning to protect an organization's assets from cyber threats. All work is expected to leverage the best practices of voice of customer, emotional intelligence, and empathy in the spirit of Worthington Industries Philosophy to deliver exemplary service.

A security analyst should possess a solid understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices. They must stay updated with the ever-changing threat landscape and continuously learn new techniques and tools to mitigate risks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying and addressing security incidents. Additionally, excellent communication skills are essential for conveying complex security concepts to various audiences and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IAM tools and Phishing tools. Ensure proper configuration and optimize their performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls, provide security guidance, and promote security awareness throughout the organization.
• Responsible for conducting security awareness training and phishing campaigns.
• Proactive research and analysis of security vulnerabilities and gaps
• Perform Incident Management as needed.
• Prepare and deliver reports, metrics, and documentation related to security incidents, investigations, and risk assessments
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends. Provide proactive recommendations to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures. Assess compliance with industry best practices.
• Provides accurate estimates of work (tasks, hours, etc.) and reports status of work in a timely manner. Properly builds and manages work plan to accommodate planned and unplanned work.
• Performs Access Control Group functions for all applications and physical environments.
• Performs in a continuous improvement mode (constantly look for ways to operate more efficiently and effectively; and apply change)
• Prepare and deliver reports, metrics, and documentation related to ACG, phishing and training.
• Automation and unique role creation within Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool to streamline user access provisioning and management.

Desired Experience

• Ability to understand applications, mobile, network, operating systems and network security concepts.
• Knowledge of network and server architecture and protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and execute effectively using guidelines, processes, and procedures defined by our IT Controls.
• Knowledge and understanding of Access Management processes, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.)
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as a part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shift in priorities.
• Self-Starter with limited supervision
• Excellent customer service, communication skills and ability to work with other teams to accomplish common goals.
• Knowledge of IT Security, Risk Management, and best practices.
• Must have strong problem resolution, analytical and decision-making skills.

Desired Education

• Bachelor-degree in computer science or 4 years IT/Security Experience.
• Preferred education but not required:
  • Bachelor-degree in computer science or 4 years IT/Security Experience.
  • Cloud Security related certifications a plus (Cloud +, AWS, Microsoft, GCP etc.)

• Security related certifications (Network +, Security +, etc.)
• Associate-degree in computer science or 2 years IT/Security Experience.
