Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45PM

Job Summary: IT Leadership I performs high-level professional or technical IT activities for specialized, complex and/or functional areas requiring the expert knowledge and professional application of IT principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards and university policy. Generally responsible for managing an IT department or major function within a department with staff supervisory responsibility.

Additional Department Summary: The Assistant Director of Information Technology provides application support services and software development for the Office of Advancement Services within the Division of Advancement. Leads, participates in, and delegates the programming efforts of the division. This is achieved by delivering custom reports, optimized business processes, CRM customizations, and online donation pages. Collaborates with many levels of faculty/staff across many of the University’s colleges, schools, and divisions to clarify business requirements and then translate these requirements into code, processes, or applications. The programming and development efforts are vital to the successful advancement initiatives of the President, Vice President for Advancement, Associate Vice Presidents for Advancement, Deans, Development Officers and Annual Fund in the University’s colleges, schools and other divisions.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional IT experience, to include experience with relational database systems, SQL programming, and web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript; OR Master's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or business and three (3) years of progressively responsible professional IT experience, to include experience with relational database systems, SQL programming, and web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Skills and Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relational databases, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of tools and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently delegate tasks accordingly.
