It Inventory Specialist Jobs

KeenLogic is seeking an experienced IT Inventory Specialist with strong knowledge and experience in Inventory Management to work with our team at the United States Agency of International Development in D.C. The ideal candidate will be local to Washington, D.C and will have 2+ years with inventory procedures. This is a four month contract with the possibility extend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in various inventory projects to help enter data in inventory tracking system following guidelines.
• Communicates with all necessary departments/warehouse team and leadership regarding variances, discrepancies, and warehouse errors.
• Participates in receiving/inspecting/documenting all incoming shipments.
• Receives, tags, and labels IT assets including +computers, servers, software, networking hardware, audio-visual and related equipment.
• Procure, configure, and deploy computer hardware and mobile cellular devices.
• Deliver equipment accurately and in a timely manner to its destination.
• Must have knowledge on IT hardware parts to ensure accurate accounting of items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
• Experience with receiving shipments, tracking assets, documentation of asset inventory.
• 2+ years in an inventory environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities.
• Able to work independently while maintaining patience with constant interruptions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Asset tagging and ensuring accuracy of new equipment.
• Reviewing receiving documents and equipment for accuracy
• Must have an active driver's license.
• Delivering equipment to its destination.
• Must be physically fit enough to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. for duties (i.e. delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment).
