It Department Intern- College Internship

Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk is seeking a College Intern to join our IT Department. As an intern, you will gain practical experience and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our IT team, supporting our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to our patients and families in need.

• Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical users courteously and effectively.
• May require traveling to other office locations as needed.
• Assist with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Carry/move heavy equipment without assistance, as required.
• Scripting and coding tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with IT team members on various projects and initiatives.

• Resume and Cover Letter Required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Solid analytical skills and strong organizational skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be available to work from May to August 2023.
• Ability to carry/move heavy equipment without assistance.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Friendly and approachable with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users professionally and courteously.
• Must be fully COVID-19 Vaccinated
• Currently enrolled in college, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
