It Business Analyst, Senior

Job Summary

As the Senior IT Business Analyst you will be responsible for proactively partnering with the business and IT staff to build and maintain strong customer relationships, by to serving as the primary contact point for the business units to engage IT for solution analysis services. You will be responsible for contributing to in the development of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) solutions including implementing, enhancing, and testing business application software. This position will manage and lead work on small to medium complex projects that expand the institution’s student system portfolio in the area of Enrollment Management with cross-functional team members. This position will resolve complex technical problems; implement designed business processes and functionality to specifications and ensuring quality solution deployment through execution of solution test plans and scripts. You will provide guidance to business areas in developing tests and training plans and materials. You will collaborate in the development and design of overall business solutions designs including reengineering business processes, organization and application architecture.

This is a remote position.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:

• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
• Minimum of Four (4) to Five (5) years of experience in designing and developing business solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or related fields
• Experience with writing business requirements, test scripts and creating training materials

Skills needed:

• Ability to prioritize personal and workgroup tasks and work independently to deliver results
• Skills in report writing, data analysis and analytical thinking
• Ability to:
  • define business requirements, design and implement business processes and meet project priorities

• Demonstrated:
  • ability to do root cause analysis, systems testing, defect tracking and resolution

• Working Knowledge of system design and analysis practices

• Knowledge of project management, business case development, and organizational change management
• Working knowledge of Student Information Systems or comparable large scale integrated systems
• Ability to do root cause analysis, systems testing, defect tracking and resolution
• Personal ‎competencies in integrity, flexibility/adaptability, stress management, judgment/problem ‎solving, teamwork, drive for results and ability to accept and instigate change
