Rate of Pay: $24.15/hour

As the host hotel for the IRONMAN World Championship, the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has openings for talented Temporary, Full time Security Officers/ Parking Lot Attendants to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience from October 1-20.

Brief Summary of Job: During IRONMAN World Championship October 1-20, responsible for granting and denying access to vehicles into designated parking lot areas.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing
personalized service to hotel guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
____Assist our employees, Vendors and IRONMAN guests by ensuring they are parked in the correct parking lots quickly and efficiently.
____Ensure that our employees, Vendors and IRONMAN guests have the appropriate passes for respective parking lots.
____Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
____ Direct incoming vehicles to available parking spaces.
____ Monitor parking lot and report any suspicious activities to management immediately.
____Provide accurate directions to guests/visitors when necessary.
____ Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements Knowledge/Education/Experience: High school or equivalent education preferred. Previous security and/or hotel background preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
