Come join our team of creative engineers to influence the customer experience of iPhones, iPads and their related accessories! We are the PSQ Devices iPhone/iPad quality team, and we are dedicated to improving the customer experience of Apple's innovative iPhones and iPads. We drive integrated system testing with an emphasis on hardware-centric risks and new software features for new/existing iPhone, iPads and its accessories. You will join a dynamic and curious group focused on testing with an out of the box approach, ranging from customer usage scenario research to designing complicated test procedures around it. Key Qualifications

  • Self-learner, independent and technically curious.
  • Demonstrated QA skills with at least 2 complete product cycles, from inception to customer shipment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Sufficient knowledge of tools necessary for strong data analysis.
  • Committed to quality and passionate about customer experience.
  • 3+ years of QA or System Test experience, preferably on consumer-facing hardware/software products. Testing experience with mobile devices is a plus.
  • Detail oriented and organized with a strong discipline of adhering to standards.
  • Good understanding of Camera HW/SW functionalities and use cases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or leadership.

Description

- Design, run and maintain comprehensive test plans for key iPad and iPad accessory HW and/or SW features. - Test planning will involve researching customer use cases and working with cross-functional QA and development teams to identify and understand key features and their underlying functionality. - Work closely with cross-functional QA groups to identify risk areas and test coverage gaps, develop testing around them, and represent QA concerns in cross-functional meetings. Ensure full test coverage for feature being tested. - Test execution will involve diligently completing planned tests within the defined timeline and detailed analysis of data from the test results. - Identify, reproduce and report issues with crisp supporting data. Drive critical issues to closure by partnering with relevant hardware, software and quality teams. - Provide project managers and cross-functional teams with detailed test status and progress throughout the hardware/software development cycle.

Education & Experience

Engineering Degree or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Nice to have:
  • Experience leading or managing quality teams/projects
  • Experience in automation using scripting or other languages (preferably Python, Swift)

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $113,500 and $207,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
