Role Summary:

In this position, you will be responsible for Rivian’s global investments portfolio, optimizing risk adjusted yield and liquidity for our global investments, and building best-in-class processes for the function. The opening will be located in our Irvine, CA or Palo Alto, CA offices and report to the Senior Director, Treasury.

Responsibilities:

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage money market fund portfolio and other in-house investments solutions
  • Develop and maintain interest income forecast and variance analysis for actuals
  • Collaborate with other treasury teams on process improvements, system implementations, and other ad hoc projects
  • Implement system solutions to enhance in-house trading capabilities and reporting automation
  • Prepare internal and external investment reporting and audit deliverables
  • Select, partner with, and oversee external investment managers on separately managed accounts
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, including revising controls to reflect any changes in process
  • Develop and implement a global investment management strategy to enhance overall portfolio returns while maintaining adequate liquidity
  • Establish custody bank accounts as part of the scalable global investment infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with, and recommend updates to, investment policy defining investment guidelines, asset allocations, portfolio risk, and maturity profile
Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of various investment vehicles, interest rate environment, credit and market risk
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or similar fields. MBA or CFA is a plus
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, exhibiting high integrity, good interpersonal skills, and outstanding communication to peers and executives
  • Experience building new functions and setting up new processes. Experience with ICD, Clearwater, treasury management systems a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including advanced Excel skills and strong modeling and financial valuation skills
  • Ability to work independently with little instruction, multi-task while maintaining attention to details and deadlines, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Performs under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals and objectives
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate treasury functions managing cash & investment portfolio
Pay Disclosure:
Irvine, CA based applicants $121,000 - $139,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
