Do you love consumer products and watching emerging brands grow? Want to be part of making that happen? At Whipstitch Capital we’re creating what the investment banking model should look like and currently seek highly motivated individuals to join our unique team. We’ve done deals with PepsiCo, Keurig Dr Pepper, L’Oreal, VMG Partners, KarpReilly, Flowers Foods, Spindrift, Core Water, Essentia Water, and so many more.
We’re looking for Analysts to be part of our all-star lineup. As key positions within the company, candidates must be quick-learning team players with a proven track record of excellence in academics, quantitative skills, leadership and initiative. Ideal candidates have a passion for health, wellness, and sustainability, as these are core to the Whipstitch mission and our clients. Whipstitch team members receive unmatched opportunities to learn and grow professionally, including touching every aspect of the deal process, from initial pitch to close.
Being part of Whipstitch means joining a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment composed of a collaborative and supportive team. We seek diversity in all aspects including people, experience and thought.
Position Description
Analysts support Whipstitch in all aspects of the investment banking process, including business development as well as sell-side, buy-side and private placement advisory work on behalf of a broad base of top-tier clients. Specifically, Analysts work with every member of the Whipstitch Team supporting multiple clients simultaneously along with serving as a key point of contact between the firm and prospective clients. This opportunity provides an intensive learning experience in M&A deal execution with strong opportunity for career advancement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Distribution and management of NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) with parties interested in receiving client marketing materials
- Data Room creation, organization and management of materials throughout the due diligence phase
- Working with the team to create and develop pitches, presentations, projection models, teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMS), management presentations and other key marketing materials
- Assist with administrative duties as needed
- Direct to consumer cohort analysis and key metric evaluation
- Develop integrated financial models, sell-through analysis, distributor depletions analysis as well as ad hoc analysis in response to potential investor/acquirer requests
- Coordinate and attend calls/zooms/in-person meetings with clients, investors and acquirers while recording accurate and detailed notes of those interactions for the firm’s highly-detailed and comprehensive CRM system
- Aid in managing and documenting outreach (via CRM) to prospective investors and buyers through distribution of materials to closing
Please note, this is not a “hide behind the desk” job – we encourage and expect all team members to travel to industry trade shows, interact directly with investors/acquirers and clients, provide an opinion (even if different from colleagues) and to aid in building the Whipstitch brand.
