Investment Associate Jobs

Venture Capital Associate Responsibilities:

• Research and investment thesis development, to include conducting industry and sector specific research, landscape analysis, and developing investment thesis to help guide the investment strategy.
• Developing and managing relationships with venture firms, incubators, and accelerators to identify compelling investment opportunities.
• Assisting with the strategic and operational management of portfolio companies including coordinating with the businesses commercialization team as appropriate.
• Investment sourcing and evaluation including building and managing sourcing channels, deal flow, and helping prioritize transaction pipeline.
• Building and managing an internal network to facilitate diligence efforts. Supporting the creation of strategic value to the firm by engaging with the internal network to deploy portfolio company technologies.
• Managing diligence processes, developing financial models, supporting valuation efforts, and preparing investment documents to support all phases of the investment process.
• Building and improving internal systems and processes including fund reporting, developing Investment Committee materials, CRM management and other ad-hoc analysis.

Venture Capital Associate Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital experience
• Demonstrated technical and market research, financial modeling, presentation-building, and communication skills with ability to communicate complex data effectively
• Purpose driven with a deep personal interest in technology, startups, and innovation team.
• High EQ and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Four-year degree in finance, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in an uncertain business environment and manage several activity streams with conflicting priorities
