The Minnesota State Board of Investment is responsible for the investment management of various retirement funds, trust funds, and cash accounts for the State of Minnesota. The Minnesota State Board of Investment (SBI) is established by Article XI of the Minnesota Constitution to invest all state funds. Its membership as specified in the Constitution is comprised of the Governor (who is designated as chair), State Auditor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General.

Job Summary
The Investment Analyst will perform operations and administrative functions including processing and entering cash flows, performance calculation and reconciliation, new strategy onboarding, database management and portfolio compliance monitoring. In addition, the Investment Analyst will provide quantitative and qualitative research and manager due diligence support to private markets investment staff members across various asset classes.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and written with a wide variety of professionals and various levels of an organization.
- Strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing a high-quality work product.
- A desire to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Willing participation in and desire to make continuous progress toward completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
- Demonstrated interest in business fundamentals, capital markets and investment strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with investment related analytical tools and software such as Dynamo, Pitchbook, Preqin, FactSet or similar.
- Familiarity with Private Markets (private equity, private credit, real assets and real estate).
- The ability to prepare reports reflecting performance and analytics for portfolios.
