Are you a motivated individual with a passion for risk management and process improvement? If so, a leading investment bank in the Dallas area is looking for an Investment Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will work with major financial markets, settling fixed income securities transactions and gaining a deep understanding of securities settlements and the financial services industry. Your analytical skills will be crucial in reducing risk, improving client service, and enhancing processes.
This division collaborates with various teams within the firm to deliver banking, sales, trading, and asset management solutions to clients worldwide. We are also responsible for monitoring risk management measures and implementing controls to protect the firm's reputation and assets. Additionally, we work with Corporate Treasury, Client Assets, and Controllers to ensure proper funding, asset protection, and bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with client asset and settlement rules and regulations
- Research and troubleshoot exceptions, implementing procedural changes or automation
- Understand and escalate risks to team managers and senior management
- Accurate and timely settlement of fixed income trades
- Improve procedures to reduce fails rates and enhance inventory management
- Manage and prioritize inventory to maximize funding benefits and minimize costs
Requirements:
- Experience collaborating with business and technology partners to address business needs
- Minimum- completed bachelor’s degree
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work well in a team and provide innovative solutions
- Strong track record in managing processes, driving change, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of seniority
- Organized with attention to detail
