Job Description
The Team Lead provides management and oversight of XLA personnel supporting our DHS client. Reporting to the Assistant Program Manager (APM), the Team Lead provides supervision, leadership, and accountability of team’s personnel. The Team Lead is responsible for all duties and responsibilities assigned by our DHS PSU client and APM in support for the processing and maintenance of Personnel Security Files (PSFs).


Activities and Duties


  • Provide management and oversight of XLA personnel supporting the PSU requirement to process personnel security actions for Entry-On-Duty (EOD), suitability, eligibility for access to National Security Information (NSI).
  • Coordinate with APM, Federal supervisor and Section Chief on all section activities and directions.
  • Performs the duties of a Personnel Security Assistant (PSA)
  • Clearly define expectations and advice on a formal/informal basis regarding performance and maintain personal effectiveness.
  • Follow time keeping procedures (verify and approve), facilitate and promote training to include cross training, prepare and conduct XLA personnel performance evaluations, assist APM/PM, Section Chief as necessary.


Team Lead Requirements


Coordinates with PSU, XLA personnel, and XLA corporate management on all PSU activities and directions; liaises with Government and XLA as required.


  • Inspires confidence and motivation, clearly defines expectations and advices on a formal/informal basis regarding job performance, and maintains personal effectiveness
  • The ability to direct multiple tasks and projects; plan, control, direct, and coordinate the work of subordinates; provide administrative, legal, and technical support
  • Recommends process improvement and efficiency as needed
  • Attend scheduled meetings with APM and other Team Leads to address issues, concerns, and areas of process improvements
  • Monitors contract performance through the daily use of applicable reports, reporting systems and/or authorized databases to ensure success in meeting frequent changes in operational demands
  • Assists with the handling and assignment of workload
  • Provides weekly and monthly deliverable reports to APM
  • Provide leadership, direction, development and employee supervision
  • Provides APM with daily distributions of personnel and workload
  • Coordinates with APM and Govt. stakeholders on all contract activities, direction and special requests
  • Monitors and assists XLA personnel with time keeping procedures (verify and approve), facilitates and promotes XLA required trainings, prepares and conducts personnel performance evaluations, and facilitates necessary actions to XLA corporate.
  • Use judgment to anticipate customer service needs, resolve non-routine issues and take action accordingly


Qualifications


  • Requires three (1) year of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to efficient data entry and ability to prepare and deliver reports and other documents in support of the project(s). Duties may include data input; preparing letters, files, forms, and other required documents practically error-free and within time constraints; communicate with appropriate personnel to obtain necessary information; provide administrative, legal, and technical support; and ability to train junior staff
  • High School Diploma or other equivalent degree program
  • Must have previous work experience in the Investigations area
  • Must currently be working on the ICE-PSU contract
  • Must have the DHS ICE Public Trust Clearance
