POSITION SUMMARY:
The PSA Team Lead provides management and oversight of personnel supporting our DHS client. Reporting to the Program Manager (PM), the Team Lead provides supervision, leadership, and accountability of team’s personnel. The Team Lead is responsible for all duties and responsibilities assigned by our DHS PSU client and PM in support for the processing and maintenance of Personnel Security Files (PSFs).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitors and assists Dextera personnel with time keeping procedures (verify and approve), facilitates and promotes Dextera required training, provides feedback to the PM for personnel performance evaluations, and facilitates necessary actions to corporate.
  • Provide management and oversight of personnel supporting the PSU requirement to process personnel security actions for Entry-On-Duty (EOD), suitability, eligibility for access to National Security Information (NSI).
  • Provides weekly and monthly deliverable reports to PM/APM.
  • Performs the duties of a Personnel Security Assistant (PSA).
  • Coordinates with PSU, Dextera personnel and corporate management on all PSU activities and directions; liaises with Government and Dextera as required.
  • Inspires confidence and motivation, clearly defines expectations and advice on a formal/informal basis regarding job performance and maintains personal effectiveness.
  • Provides PM/APM with daily distributions of personnel and workload.
  • Recommends process improvement and efficiency as needed.
  • Coordinates with PM/APM and Govt. stakeholders on all contract activities, direction and special requests.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with PM/APM and other Team Leads to address issues, concerns, and areas of process improvements.
  • Follow time keeping procedures (verify and approve), facilitate and promote training to include cross training, provide feedback on personnel performance evaluations, assist PM/APM, Section Chief as necessary.
  • Provide leadership, direction, development and employee supervision.
  • Use judgment to anticipate customer service needs, resolve non-routine issues and take action accordingly.
  • Assists with the handling and assignment of workload.
  • Clearly define expectations and advice on a formal/informal basis regarding performance and maintain personal effectiveness.
  • Monitors contract performance through the daily use of applicable reports, reporting systems and/or authorized databases to ensure success in meeting frequent changes in operational demands.
  • Coordinate with PM, Federal supervisor and Section Chief on all section activities and directions.
  • The ability to direct multiple tasks and projects; plan, control, direct, and coordinate the work of subordinates; provide administrative, legal, and technical support.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires one (1) year of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes but is not limited to efficient data entry and the ability to prepare and deliver reports and other documents in support of the project(s). Duties may include data input; preparing letters, files, forms, and other required documents practically error-free and within time constraints; communicate with appropriate personnel to obtain necessary information; provide administrative, legal, and technical support; and ability to train junior staff.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook and Adobe.
  • High School Diploma or other equivalent degree program
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required to meet established deadlines.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
:
  • The work is primarily sedentary. The individual will have consistent and direct visual contact with a computer monitor. Work is routine and repetitive. The work is performed in an office setting that is adequately lit and climate controlled.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, and push boxes up to 25 lbs.
